I love making mosaics and using broken pieces of plates, tiles or even my old ceramic pieces! Saturday, while walking to the farmer's market, I found several pieces of broken pottery. One piece included a chicken head, and so naturally I had to pick it up. I later realized I wanted to resurrect that chicken, so I went back and gathered all of the pieces, and here he is! I love the look of him..I filled in the gaps with grout. It makes me happy to bring something back to life that was otherwise going in the garbage. Yay for chicken planters and recycled art!
