Yay! I finally set up my etsy site a few days ago! I'm so happy, I'd been wanting to have one for awhile now. All these bags are for sale there--all made with recycled materials. Go check it out! Hotpinkandsequins is the shop name.

A quilt in 4 days

Ok, well 4 days might be a bit of a stretch... :) It'll probably be more like 6 days by the time I finish it, but its nearly done! Here's a section of it. (All with recycled fabrics)

Recycled art vases

More recycled art I made several days ago. So I'm in love with a certain salad dressing (Asian Ginger Omega 3 by Spectrum - Shamless I know!) and already I have accumulated 4 glass bottles from this obsession. They're pretty, say organic on them, but I couldn't get the labels off to save my life! So I made my own labels to cover them. Now they're around my house as vases.

recycled chicken planters!

I love making mosaics and using broken pieces of plates, tiles or even my old ceramic pieces! Saturday, while walking to the farmer's market, I found several pieces of broken pottery. One piece included a chicken head, and so naturally I had to pick it up. I later realized I wanted to resurrect that chicken, so I went back and gathered all of the pieces, and here he is! I love the look of him..I filled in the gaps with grout. It makes me happy to bring something back to life that was otherwise going in the garbage. Yay for chicken planters and recycled art!

art mania!

Hi everyone! I've been so inspired (and slightly manic!) lately with creating. I wanted to doccument what I've been making, and It seems like everyone has a blog these days so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon :) So welcome....I hope you too are wildly inspired!
